The Wonders of Friendship
Facebook and the other communication pages out there are really a marvil. Recently my wife Ku`ulei, has started a search for some of the people we have shared our life with along the way. She has had marvilious results in finding and connecting with some of our friends from the past, and it has been a true blessing to reconnect. We have also had the privilage to haveing hade some friends come and visit, people that we have stayed in contact with for over thirty years. Our time together was such fun catching up on life sharing how God has been at work in wonderful ways. Our friend Danny Davis was diginosed with third stage throat cancer and today is a suvivor. Danny thanks God for what he has learned through the process the healing process was not just limited to his throat he has experienced healing in relationships and in so many areas of his life. Friendship brings so much into our lives we are able to experience life at such a greater depth as a result of the friends that God brings into our lives. I don't know about you but I am living each day with a greater appreication of who God has brought into my life. I am a better person because of them.

Aloha!

I never thought I would start one of these things but here I am out in siber-space sharing my thoughts. Please be aware I will start this at a slow pace. I am not really a journaler but I thought that this might simply be a different way for two way communication. Please know that I will not respond to anonymous comments if it's worth saying it's worth putting your name to it.
I plan to simply let this be a space where I can share some of the thoughts that fill my head from time to time.
Thanks for taking the time to check this out I look forward to the open dialogue that this potentially offers.

The passage for this coming Sunday that I will be preaching on is John 12:20-36, in the last part of the passage it talks about being "Children of the light," in 1Thes.5:5 it talks about being "children of the light and of the day." Back in the early seventies before Maranatha Music the original Calvary Chapel, in Costa Mesa CA would have concerts. One of the groups that would sing was a group called the "Children of the Day." In the midst of the hippy culture this group would come out on stage and they seemed so proper, I always
felt their music was a cut above the groups they were playing with.

I am not sure what ever happened to the group, they truly seemed to honestly live the motto and name of their band. Children of the day are folks who truly live in the light of God's love. Who are maybe a cut above but who although a cut above do not assume the arrogance of someone who thinks their better than anyone else.
