( 2.9 / 319 )Aloha!
I never thought I would start one of these things but here I am out in siber-space sharing my thoughts. Please be aware I will start this at a slow pace. I am not really a journaler but I thought that this might simply be a different way for two way communication. Please know that I will not respond to anonymous comments if it's worth saying it's worth putting your name to it.
I plan to simply let this be a space where I can share some of the thoughts that fill my head from time to time.
Thanks for taking the time to check this out I look forward to the open dialogue that this potentially offers.
The passage for this coming Sunday that I will be preaching on is John 12:20-36, in the last part of the passage it talks about being "Children of the light," in 1Thes.5:5 it talks about being "children of the light and of the day." Back in the early seventies before Maranatha Music the original Calvary Chapel, in Costa Mesa CA would have concerts. One of the groups that would sing was a group called the "Children of the Day." In the midst of the hippy culture this group would come out on stage and they seemed so proper, I always
felt their music was a cut above the groups they were playing with.
I am not sure what ever happened to the group, they truly seemed to honestly live the motto and name of their band. Children of the day are folks who truly live in the light of God's love. Who are maybe a cut above but who although a cut above do not assume the arrogance of someone who thinks their better than anyone else.
